Events Calendar
Fountain Events are a significant component of Churchill's commitment to its customers. Not only do we feel a responsibility to inform customers about myriad topics in gardening and home decorating, we aim to entertain. Our events provide customers of all ages with useful information about trends and traditions in the home and garden in a fun and festive atmosphere.

Unless noted, Churchill's events are FREE, and people of all gardening abilities are encouraged to attend. Registration is required for all but our Open Houses. Please call or e-mail to register for as many events as you'd like, or for more information.

Planting a Four Season Garden
March 17th at 6 PM - 8 PM
Registration: No Registration Required.
This two part series will be held at the Exeter Public Library

March 17

We will overview the backbone and structure of the garden using plant material that will give you interest from winter to fall. Topics will include soil prep, trees and shrubs that will give nice structure and perennials to ensure longevity.

March 30
We will talk about adding the dressing to your garden. Now that you know about plants that add structure and longevity, we will cover how to add splashes of color to your garden. Topics will include bulbs, pansies, annuals, mums, winter color as well as containers to add color and excitement to your garden.

Green Thumb Kids Club Event
Starting Plants from Seeds
March 20th at 11 AM
Registration: No Registration Required.
Plant vegetable seeds and flower seeds for your spring garden and have the pleasure of eating your home grown vegetables and enjoying colorful flowers in your yard. This activity is planned for children 4-10. Younger children are welcome with parental supervision.
Materials fee: $5.00 per family (includes soil, container and seeds)

Churchill's Traditional Easter Egg Hunt

Come and see the Easter Bunny in person at Churchill's. He will hide his special eggs throughout the garden center for children to hunt and gather. There will be a hunt for children ages 1-4 and a separate hunt for children 5-10.

Vegetable Gardening and Growing Fruits for the beginning gardener

Learn the basics of soil preparation, seed and plant selection and growing tips to make your garden thrive.

Invitation to the Spring Garden

Registration: No Registration Required.
Learn about early season perennials that herald the end of winter and coming of warmer, brighter days. We'll also look at garden prep in the form of cutting back plants, amending the soil, weed prevention, and rose pruning.

Early Spring Containers
April 11th at 1 PM
Registration: No Registration Required.
Cure your cabin fever and get your hands dirty learning the basics of container design, the best soil mixes and selecting cool weather tolerant plant material. Participants will use plants they purchase and their own container to design and plant a cool weather master piece.
