Vegetables Vegetable plants have been selected for their disease resistance, taste and viability to withstand New England weather. You will find a large variety to choose from for planting a traditional or a container garden. Churchill’s is committed to providing quality plants for your gardening success and to growing organically whenever possible. We will be featuring many vegetables grown from organic seeds in environmentally friendly containers. This year we will be using beneficial and organic fertilizer. Stop in and talk with our Assistant Annuals Manager, Sherry Carson, if you need some help with your selections. New this Year We will be offering a large variety of peppers including sweet for salads, medium to extreme heat as well as ornamentals that add interest to gardens and containers all year. Cool Weather Crops Arugula, Beets, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Collards, Cauliflower, Celery, Chards, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Leeks, Onions, Peas, Potatoes and Spinach Warm Weather Crops Beans, Corn, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Muskmelon, Peppers, Pumpkins, Summer Squash, Tomatillo, Tomatoes (Hybrid, Heirlooms, Open Pollinated, Slicing Varieties, Cherry), Watermelon, Winter Squash and Zucchini Additionally Strawberries, Rhubarb, Horseradish, Garlic Events We will be offering several events and talks throughout the season.
