Perennials | Photos The Perennial Department is comprised of hundreds of varieties of flowering and foliage plants for the sum and shade including a broad assortment of ornamental grasses, evergreen plants and groundcovers. We maintain the highest standards for our customers by choosing the best growers and also by growing our own selections. As always, if there is a particular variety that you are looking for, please ask our Perennials Manager, Kate Fox. She will do her best to provide it for you. Perennial of the Year Chosen by the Perennial Plant Association, the 2012 perennial of the year is Brunnera 'Jack Frost'. "A superb introduction, forming a clump of heart-shaped silver leaves, delicately veined with green. Sprays of bright blue Forget-me-not flowers appear in mid to late spring. This is a choice collector's plant, but an easy-to-grow perennial that performs well in most shady conditions." Learn more at www.perennialplant.org. Different this Year This year we are growing some exciting varieties of Hemerocallis (Daylilies), Hosta, Perennial Geranium, Heuchera (Coral Bells), and many other perennials right here at Churchill's. We have based our choices on ease of maintenance, disease and pest resistance, size and longevity of bloom, and striking foliage or fragrance. Click here for a list of what is growing at Churchill's. As always, please feel free to contact us with your questions. |
